Richard P. Holzberg III is a strategic technology leader with over 40 years’ experience working in the field of information technology. His skills enable him to build and lead high caliber teams while delivering advanced information technology solutions.

Richard’s strengths are exceptional communication skills, a broad technical knowledge, a track record for fiscal management and building relationships with vendors while holding their feet to the fire.  As Director of Information Technology for numerous organizations Richard's progressive IT experience enhanced their operations. He was highly effective at driving change and delivering effective solutions increasing business' bottom line.

Richard is a 17-year resident of Marvin, currently living in Weddington Chase with his wife of 31 years, Debra G. Holzberg, Ph.D., a clinical assistant professor at the University of North Carolina Greensboro.  Together they are raising three boys, Gordon, Noah and Zachary. Gordon and Noah graduated from the IB program at Marvin Ridge High School with Zachary recently being accepted into the IB program.  All three boys are proficient speaking Mandarin Chinese a language acquired by participating in the program offered through our world-class Marvin Ridge schools.

Richard volunteers his time to a variety of personal and professional causes to complete the circle.  First and foremost is his service for the Village of Marvin.  After serving on the Planning Board for a five-year period, 2013-2018, Richard was appointed back to the Planning Board / Design Review Board in 2021 working in an advisory position to the Council regarding ordinances and land use planning to support the future vision for the Village of Marvin.  Additionally Richard has served for nine years on the Weddington Chase Board serving as Community Watch Chair, Pool committee and Security Committee.  This also includes holding seats on the board as President and Vice President.
